How to Play Double Bass Drums

I’m Chris and now we’re going to talk about double Bass drumming, okay. A lot of drummers don’t use double bass drumming. Simply because there is a connotation put on the double Bass that it is more for a harder rock style and that is not always necessarily true. With double bass drumming this allows you to add more beats and flams and even paradiddles. On a bass drum just as you were playing a Snare Drum. Now then, let me demonstrate, when you are playing a Snare Drum you can have accents, fills and standard beats just playing regularly, okay. Now then, if you were to add one bass drum, one bass drum beat onto that same thing, okay. It’s fairly good; it allows us to iterate the bass drum beat okay. With a double bass this allows us to highlight the bass drum a little more. Let me demonstrate, okay. Now then, by doing this we have now highlighted the base drum and it’s not necessarily just the pulse any more it’s more important and equally as important as the rest of the drums. Let me demonstrate again.
