In this clip, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for removing and reinstalling a motor mount. In this clip, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for removing our support from our motor mount after our motor mount service. Now what we went with on this particular vehicle is the floor jack and board support method. We have our motor mount removed and reinstalled so I'm going to go ahead and take and release the tension on my floor jack slowly just like so. If you performed the repair procedure correctly, the engine will move ever so slightly down and stay. I'm going to slide my floor jack out of the way. If you selected one of the other support methods, what you would do is then release the tension on your cherry picker and let the engine settle down, or release the tension on your engine sling and let the engine settle down. Those are the proper releasing procedures for your vehicle.
