How to Install the Intake Duct on Your Engine

In this clip, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure to remove, inspect and overhaul your vehicle's Alternator. In this step we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for reinstalling our engine's Intake Ductwork and ID Plate. I'm going to start off with this side, and slip the ductwork onto the Throttle body, you're going to want to pay close attention to the bottom side of the Snorkel, and make sure that it seats onto the Throttle body, instead of being crushed inside it. Just like so. From there I'm going to go ahead and pull this hose through and line up the side of the Snorkel, to the Mass Airflow Sensor, and wiggle that on to position. Just like so. From there, I'm going to take and reinstall my Crankcase Ventilation Tube. And slip that right on there, like so. I'm going to go ahead and tighten down the hose clamps. Now, most hose clamps will take an eight millimeter or a 5/16 socket, some will take a ten, you can also use a flat blade screwdriver. Right there. Got one more hose clamp to deal with. We get them finger tight and then just twist the Ratchet a little. Just like so. Once you have that stuff put on there, you can take and reinstall your Engine ID Plate. So you can see, we have a clip here which is going to mount onto the UGR valve and we have two bolt holes we need to line up. Just like so. You take and start those bolts. Run them down as far as I can by hand and for the second one. Run that down as far as I can by hand, and go ahead and torque them. Right there. That is the proper service procedure for reinstalling your Intake Ductwork and your Engine ID Plate.
