In this clip we're going to talk about the proper service procedure to remove, inspect and overhaul your vehicle's alternator. In this step we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for remounting our alternator back to the engine. This bigger alternator has three mounting bolts. I'm going to go ahead and align the top one first. Just like so. Go ahead and start one of the bottom bolts, it may have some other bracketry that bolts to it. You're going to want to make sure that all the holes line up, if you have such bracketry. And I'm going to start my last bolt. If your vehicle is equipped with a Spring Loaded Tensioner, it's o.k. to go ahead and tighten down all the bolts. However, if the vehicle is not equipped with the Spring Loaded Belt Tensioner, you're going to want to slip the belt on, and adjust the tension on your alternator before tightening it down. We have a Spring Tensioner, I'm going to go ahead and torque my bolts down. I'm going to start with this bottom one here. Right there. I'm going to jump up here to this top one. I'm just trying to spread out the torque method for my bolts, so it bolts down as flat as possible. Right there. I'm going to jump down to my last bottom bolt. Right there. That is the proper service procedure for remounting your vehicle's alternator back to your engine.
