How to Install Brake Pads
Hi! My name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to talk about one of the steps necessary in reassembling a vehicle after replacing a broken wheel stud. What we are going to have to do re-install the brake pads and the related hardware. What we have here is the caliber bridge mounted, we have 2 anti rattle or glide clips; they are going to seat themselves on just like so. One on the top and one on the bottom. They pop into place just like so. The pads slip on. Okay, that's our brake pads right there. There are also some return springs. They may or may not be part of the vehicle's hardware on your particular application. They are for this one. They are a typical spring. They squeeze in like so and will hook inside of the brake pad, just like that. You are going to want to repeat the same for the top. If the brake pads indicated signs of excessive wear, now would be the time to replace them. Once you install the return springs, you are going to have to keep your hands on them until you have the caliber in place.
