Setting Up Kayak Scuba Diving Gear

Alright, this is a demonstration of how we set the scuba unit up so we can kayak dive with it. First thing we do is set the BC unit on the tank with the regulators as well, all attached in one single unit, all ready to dive and ready to go. First thing we do is put the BC onto the tank just like this, and again, it's very important to have Scuba certification before you even think about kayak diving, this is very advanced stuff, and I'm just kind of doing his thing so that you can see what it involves, in case you haven't dove yet yourself. So once the BC is on the tank, this valve right here should point towards the back of your head, towards like about the base of your neck, a little bit more there, and the strap goes on. And the yoke of your regulator gets screwed onto the valve right here, let's do that. Now take care there's no sand or water that gets into that hole right there, either the tank or the regulator. And once that is secure, attach this inflater hose to it, a little sand in there, things kind of get secured, and again, it's kind of good to secure everything, strap it all down, and make sure that it's not going to get in the way. This is a dive computer, so this is the entire unit, the BC, this is what you've got to wear on your back, and you turn on the valve of the tank very slowly to let the air in, and you check the capacity, usually have a pressure gauge at this end, make sure you have enough air pressure in the tank to dive with. It's about 2200, I don't know if you can see that right there, that reads out the pressure inside the tank. So once that's all setup, it's ready to go, I would put this in the back of the boat and strap it down.
