Foxtrot Dancing Demonstration
Hi! This is Leslie Sack with expertvillgae.com. My website is lesliesack.com, and this is my dance partner, Jorge Saucedo, and we are going to demonstrate foxtrot for you, and we will start out with the basic forward and backward, just so you can see the frame and how it's done with a partner. So this is the dance frame for foxtrot. Ladies over to the guy's right side, and ladies you are going to keep your head under here. Your right side is down where his buttons are. Guys you got 4 points of contact right here, and then number 2 is over here, number 3 is the ladies left, top of the arm, and then the 4th one is palm on his bicep. So we are going to do the basic forward and back, so it looks like this: slow, between your feet, now you step between his feet when he goes back. Slow, slow, quick, quick so just do a basic back. Back, back, back, time to go. So nice and go forward; slow, slow, quick, quick, and then he walks back. Slow, slow, quick, quick. So let's do it this way, facing this way so guys can follow Jorge. He is going to step on his heels whenever he walks forward. Okay. Heel, heel, slide together and then he goes back. Anytime we go side, we go towards the balls of our feet, so he goes, whoever is going forward goes on the heel, and we go toe, toe, makes a happy slide, and I go on my heel and I go forward. So it is slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick. If it were slower music, we could also step on every beat and wait to come back to 1, 2, 3, 4. It would be a more even pace; 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, okay that's really slow. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3.
