Yoga Supported Childs Pose

A nice way to re-group at the end of the day, it's a very soothing position is Supported Child's Pose. So you can take a bolster, you can take couch cushions, whichever you have. I like to use my bolster cause it's easier to maneuver. Spread your knees around the bolster. Now you're going to want to stack things up, so all you have to do is lay forward. So it's a matter of finding which works best for you. So I may take some pillows and some more pillows and then in order to have more of an even surface to lay on, put a blanket over it and then lay forward, and let your head drop down. You want to open your knees more, you can. And let your arms fall on either side. If you find it too much to sit back on your heels, take another blanket and put it underneath your behind and on your heels and let everything fall forward and relax into the cushions. You can hold this for as little as three to five minutes. You can hold this for ten minutes, however long you'd like. The best thing about it is it's completely supported, and you should feel total relaxation. And that's Supported Child's Pose.
