Hi! This is Diana for expertvillage.com. This is our next variation on the standard centerpiece. I’m using a bowl that I like the color; it’s going to be part of the arrangement. I’m going to leave the leaves slightly higher because you want to be able to see the bowl. I’m going to be cutting my flowers quite a bit shorter because I want this to be very compact. It’s a whole different style than the other ones we were doing, which was more light and airy; light and springy with the baby’s breath. I’m going to be cutting these with very short stems, but they still have to be able to stick into the oasis 2 or 3 inches to drink the water. I’m going to keep in mind the round shape; keep it as if it were a ball or a balloon. I’m going to use clusters of large flowers that also have some small buds along with them. Once again, I have my mini carnations; I’m just going to cut them quite a bit shorter. We’ll just keep filling this in with our mini carnations until we have our small and compact centerpiece.
