Hi! This is Diana for expertvillage.com. We’re in the middle of making a centerpiece for your table. So I have my basket with my greens lightly put in, not packed in. I’m going to start with my smallest flowers first. Usually, I pick the darkest color for the smallest flower. You can see how you like that, and I’ve decided that my arrangement is going to be about this tall and it’s going to be in kind of a round shape. So see in your mind what it’s going to look when it’s finished. I usually put the flowers at about the same height all around. So if I put my flowers about the height of the handle to start with, I’m going to keep going that way. I’m going to put in some flowers that are clustered; it makes it look more like they’re actually growing out of the basket. I’m going to put some flowers just singles. It gives some variety, and I’m keeping them all about the same height. Pretend you have a big balloon or ball there, and you’re just following the shape so that you’ll have a consistent shape when you’re finished.
