Back Length Measurement for Suit Jackets

To determine the length of the jacket from the back, what you want to do is you want to start exactly at the collar seam, at the lower collar seam here, on your jacket where the collar would flip up but then it would go down, but that seam at the top, and then move the tape to the length, the desired length in the back, which is going to be evened out with the desired length in the front. Kind of go off the desired length in the front, first and foremost, and get the back measurement second and then it'll waver in between the two to balance it out so that line is straight on your bottom hem. So you're going to take the beginning part of the tape and you are going to start it at that seam at the top of your neck, and it's going to go all the way down to the desired length at the bottom, right here. And I'll draw that one out, so you know exactly on a flat sketch what you're looking at. So, what I was talking about, here's your lapel, here's the lapel and it folds down, but that seam right above it is where you want to start, right there, and then it goes down to your desired length, which will match whatever was on the front; that length, because this is going to be a straight line. And that's how you get your, this is the back, your back measurement.
