One of the best ways to learn how to front side nose grind on a ledge is first to learn how to 50/50 and then be able to nollie cleanly out of the 50/50 grind. What this'll do is teach you the motion that you're going to need to get out of the end of the front side nose grind, and it's a pretty safe way to test it out. So what you're going to want to do is find a good ledge, one that you intend on front side nose grinding, and you're going to ollie into the 50/50 front side. Remember to keep your weight on your toes since that's the side that's going to be on the top. So you're going to grind to the end, and you're going to slowly shift your weight to the front of the board, so that your front foot is in the nolly position, and your back foot is somewhere behind the back set of trux, or back set of bolts. The reason that is is because when you get to the very end, you're going to need to nolly out and clear your back wheels from the edge or end of the ledge and ride away. What this is going to do is going to make it so that eventually you're able to nose grind and make those back wheels and trux clear the back corner. So this is just one way that you can practice and get better and get ready to do front side nose grinds.
