Cooking Pork Chops for a Smothered Pork Chop Recipe

Hello my name is Karl James and on behalf of expertvillage.com. I'm sharing with you a quick and simple smother pork chop receipt. Now that we have our pork chops seasoned what we want to do now is brown them. You got a couple of options on how you could do this. You could take a skillet with a little oil and brown them on both sides on top of the stove. Me I prefer to use a pan the same pan that I'm going to smother them in and do it in the oven. That way you would get the nice flavor of the pork chop and the goodies that comes from browning to be stuck to the bottom of the pan so by the time you make your gravy to smother in you would get that true flavor. So we are going to take about a2 tablespoons or teaspoons of cooking oil and a paper towel. I just going to rub that along the bottom of the pan just oiling the bottom of the pan lightly. Just so your pork chops don't stick. Then I'm going to add them to the pan. There is no certain way to add them but whatever makes you happy. Once we get them all added to the pan we are going to stick them to the oven about 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. Then we will move on from there.
