Thigh Stretch Exercise for Office Yoga

Thigh stretch. So for our next exercise you can bring your hand to your chair to help support you and keep your balance. We are going to reach back we are going to take our left hand and we are going to wrap around our left ankle. Now we are going to press our foot behind us and we are going press the front of our thigh forward. Now this is a nice release for the quadriceps this is nice pose to do if you spend a lot of time in a sited position while you are at work it is nice to get a stretch here in the quadriceps. Again pressing the foot behind you and pressing the front of the hip forward. Lets hold here for a breathe. Try to keep your breathing smooth cause sometimes when we hold a balance posture we get tense. See if you can keep your face relax, keep your throat and your shoulders relax as you do this stretch. Okay you can pull your heel in towards your hip and go ahead and release. Lets come to the other side. So bring your right hand in to your left foot and your left hand into the chair. Reach down take your right ankle press your right ankle behind you and press your right foot forward. Again try to keep your face relax, keep your throat and your breathe relax. So we are not creating tension we are trying to pull ourself in to this balance posture. Okay draw your heels into your hip and go ahead a release the foot down towards the floor.
