International Communication: Learn Phrases

Now something else you can do to improve your communication with people from other cultures is learn some foreign phrases. Now you can't just learn all different kinds of foreign phrases so that you can just communicate with everybody in the world from different cultures, but you can do things in terms of specifics. If you know you're going to have a business interchange with someone from another culture, find out what their culture is. Find out how they say "hello". How do they say "goodbye"? How do they say "nice to meet you"? Maybe you've got a teacher from a different culture or your study partner at school or whatever is coming your way. Take time out of your life to learn how they speak in their life, and learn some of the positive phrases that then you can share back to them, because that will improve your communication with that person. You will show them that you are making an effort to improve your communication, therefore relationship.
