Now, something else you want to do when you are verbally communicating with someone from a different culture is be very, very aware of the words that you choose. You want something, or you are trying to have a conversation based on something, we've established that, so the words that you choose should be accurate. Be specific in the words. You don't want to make statements like, "Well, I'll catch up with you later." That might not mean anything to someone from a different culture. You want to be accurate. "I will meet you at the cafeteria at 5." Be very specific in your word choice. Don't use general statements. Things are different in different cultures. We can talk about slangs and idioms and how not to use those, we're actually going to talk about that in a minute, but be very clear. Say specifically what it is you want to transpire. That will help the other person who...some of our word choices are going to be very, very different and not make sense to them, so be accurate.
