Okay, in this game of squash your opponent may want to hit a ball to you in the front court, in the right, front corner of the court. So if you're at the tee, what's the best way to get to the ball? Well on the forehand side, you do have options because we have a lot of strength in our upper body on the forehand side, but ideally you want to come like this. One step, so you want to move your right foot first, left foot, right foot, left foot. So now I'm perfectly stepped into the ball and I can hit it very powerfully. The advantages of all this are that you always, when you practice your stepping, it becomes second nature. So it'll just be right, left, right, left. And I'm in perfect position to hit the ball either down the wall, or across court, or hit a drop shot, or a lob, or whatever I want to do. In the, a lot of coaches, they used to teach that you come like this and then you curl into the ball. But the problem with that with the speed of the modern game is you get a lot of balls bouncing into you off the different parts of the walls. So this is more of a, you're going to keep a little more straighter. So right, left, right, left. And then you can turn right into the shot, whatever you want. And that's why the endless repetitions, the endless drills are going to get you in perfect position to really be in a strong position to hit a good shot no matter what your opponent does.
