Massage Bedside Manner & Draping the Client

This is the basics of massage etiquette, draping the client. Many jurisdictions around the country have actual laws on what's required and what's allowed when it comes to draping. The first rule that any therapist should follow, ultimately, is what their client themselves are comfortable with and will tolerate. Once you've made that assertion, you're probably more than halfway to meeting whatever the local requirements are anyway. As always, when it comes to those laws, check with the local jurisdiction, find out what they are, make sure that you follow those rules and laws when it comes to draping. This applies even in situations where you may be very comfortable with the client. This client may be a long-term client and that level of comfort might lead you towards, otherwise, not draping as much or being more casual with your draping. Remember, the law is what ultimately overrides everything. Again, this is the basics of massage etiquette, draping the client.
