Okay, here we've got the three wood on a downhill slope. So because the downhill slope subtracts loft from your club, the three wood is going to feel like hitting a driver at least right now. So it's going to be a challenge to get the ball in the air at all with this club on this downhill lie. You can see it's a reasonably steep downhill lie. My left foot is significantly below my right foot and if I wasn't careful I could swing and fall over. So I want to balance myself by placing my weight on my back foot. This is a tough shot, downhill lies are my least favorite shot. So I probably should be out here practicing them even more but what I want you to think about at home is when you practice this shot you're going to try to get the ball clean, you've got to get down below the ball as best as you can. That was a pretty good shot but I may or may not want to hit a three wood with this lie because there's so little loft to begin with, it might become very difficult. But if you do choose this club because you might need the yardage be very, very careful with it. Swing nice and easy because you're not going to get a perfect result out of this lie. It's a tough lie so just kind of minimize the damage you can cause to your score on this hole by advancing the ball the best you can.
