Taking a Car It for a Test Drive When Looking to Buy a Family Car

Hello! My name is Steve Kennedy, and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we are here at Warren Cliff Chrysler at London Ontario, Canada with some tips to help you when you decide to buy your next vehicle. Our next step in our game plan is that we have finally decided on the vehicle or vehicles that we want to take a look at and the next step is the test drive. In some cases, the sales person will want to go along with you and that is entirely up to you or the dealership that you are at. Regardless if the salesperson is there or not, there are some things that you should always do in a test drive. The first one is when you sit in the vehicles make sure that the seats are comfortable obviously all the controls are easily identifiable and also when you are in your range of motion, pretty easily for you because the different heights of the driver’s and different types of seats, it will be different in every type of vehicle whether you are in a mini van like this one which is more upright or a sports coupe, everything is a little bit more lower and you have to reach a little bit farther for controls such as the radio or climate controls or anything like that. When you are taken out for a car drive, make sure that you do what you normally do; put your paces as if you were using it on a regular day to day basis so if you do like a grocery run or doing something with the taxi for kids, make sure it will fit those needs if you have to stop, make sure it will carry the things you will need it to carry. This is a good idea and you get an idea of how the car drives and how it reacts in different situations. Just don’t take it around the block. Be sure to take it on different types of roads whether it is in cul-de-sacs or maybe even if you are close to a highway, bring it up in to the highway so you get to see how the vehicle reacts to highway conditions but mostly it is for you to get a feel and to feel comfortable behind the wheel of the vehicle and this will also help in your decision to make sure you get the vehicle that is right for you.
