Alright, in this segment we're going to learn some more hand cues, but these ones are a little different that your time cues, these are what we call, story cues. So now say, that there's something going on in the control room and they can't get out of the or they can't go to a video quick enough or something is going wrong to where the anchor needs to stay on camera, talk a little more, it's what we call stretch. Now with this, there's going to be a couple different ways that are acceptable, but pretty much you want to just like you're stretching out, say a rubber band. You just want to be able to pull back and forth, but, like what I'm doing here, hand in front of the camera is a big no-no. That obviously will get on camera. So, you rather want to be back just enough to where you can give yourself enough room to pull or you do it vertically. Either way, it's always going to be a pulling motion so it looks like it's stretching, you know, stretching rubber band. Now there's also "go to the next story" which you know, can happen if something is wrong with the video or you don't have a sound bytes, some went wrong somewhere, which that signal is just take your hands and roll them over. Basically, keep moving, keep going, it kind of like a pedal wheel. Or if you got a, put a rubber band under your chin and you know, pull it back and forth. So you want to just keep rolling over, rolling over, until they see the signal. Now obviously, you want to be right next to the camera, they're looking at for both of your signals, you want to make them big, clear and of course you want to have your anchor know what you're doing, so, kind of get to talk back and forth before the show that way they get to know what you're doing and you know what they like.
