The next step in our living room project is to deal with this last work that is holding up the ceiling. The client wants it painted black as well. The tricky thing is that it is actually metal. In order for the paint stick to the metal, we are going to have to give it a little bit of a sanding. Put your mask on, and just give it a light sanding. What you are doing, is you are just roughing up that surface so the paint has something to stick to. We are going to get our paint, same stuff we've been using on the walls and the panels. I am going to take my little hot dog roller, and it's a little bit too high for me to reach, so I am going to use an extension, and you can see, you can just roll up and attach the roller right to it. Just like that, very smooth. Then for the edge along the wall, I am going to take my brush. Make sure you smooth it out, so you don't get any drips. We just finished painting the last, we are going to let that dry for about an hour, then we'll begin to re-assemble it.
