How to Change the Desktop Image on a Mac
Hey it is Tony from expertvillage.com alright what I'm going to show you on this Macintosh now we are running Os X which is I have updated the latest of tiger and what we are going to do now is I'm going to show you how you could change your background desk top image. It is really simple. Pretty much all you do is you go up to that blue apple on top of your menu bar. You click once, hold down the button, the mouse button, hold it down and then you could just scroll right down and some of you might have a mouse with the scroll button and you could use that. Just as well. So you are going to want to go down to system preferences. Select it. Then you just let go of the mouse it would open it right up and boom there is my system preferences. As you could see it shows me all my preferences. They are out of the Macintosh build on Os X and on your personal we are going to go under where it says desk top and screen savers which is the third icon over. So just click that once and it would bring up on my desk top pictures that I have. Most of them is what the computer came with. So we just going to kind of look around and I'm going to see okay I don't like plants, I don't really don't want to put anything nature. But, lets just say you know you could pretty much use anything they gave you but, you could also use your own picture. You could put them in the picture folder yourself or some other folder or you can just simple go to choose folder and you can go to any picture that is on your desk top, your external drive, CD, if you do load it up from a CD, you got to make sure that file is on your computer somewhere that it could recognize it and access. So I'm just going to go in my picture folder. I have a picture of me which sounds a little argent but I'm just kind of showing you a example. I probably wouldn't want me as my background cause I really don't want to look at myself. But, there it is there you go it is just one click your click once and it changes and boom. Just going to go back now to whatever I had before and boom there you go. You just click once that is it. No okay, no apply, nothing very simple and very easy to do. You can just keep clicking until you know you get a preview that you like and then you keep it. Then it would be there for the next time your boot up your computer.
