The Macintosh Operating System Tutorial
Hey it is Tony from expertvillage.com coming to you well recorded actually not live. So kind of talk a little bit about the Mac Os X and the operating system of tiger. You might of have just recently purchase your Macintosh, you are ready to go, you are not sure, you are not familiar with it cause you come from a Pc background so I just want to kind of want to go over a little bit about the operating system and how it is a little different then a Pc. With a Mac it is pretty straight forward here. You have your desk top and the cool thing about the Mac is all your external devices like hard drives, your zip drives, your CDs, CD Roms, they all just show up around the desk top. You know you don't have to go through any hoop la to try to get to your external hard drive, your zip drive or whatever it is. Everything shows right on your desk top. You could see that I have a external hard drive right here and it is on my desk top and I could easily access just by double clicking it and I open right up and it shows all my folders and some I have inside the hard drive. It keeps everything organize and it is pretty much once you turn on your external device your hard drive or put in the CD it would pop right on the desk top. So I have a external hard drive set up right now that I'm going to turn right on and I just switched it on. There is okay. So as you could see it is right there and very easy to get to. You know you don't have to go through anything to get to it.
