Kata in Okinawan Karate

In this clip, I would like to discuss and show you the concept of Kata. Kata is considered to be the mold or of the form of karate. It is the encyclopedia of the karate style. This style Okinawa gojodo we use Kata called getsadichi which we will demonstrate for you at this time. The students stand at attention and there is self-respect. The ready position is called yo. As you can see several different stances are used and several techniques both defensive and offensive. These movements are done with some isometric tension.
