In this clip, we will continue to discuss the philosophy of Okinawan karate-do. For example, in these characters, meaning, kishubujin. The meaning of these characters is "demon hands, Buddha heart." It is the goal of us karate practitioners to become very strong, develop strong techniques and strong conditioning, but also to develop a caring heart and to use our knowledge and our skill for the betterment of society. The next group of characters is sekimanose, which means "practice should be constant." It should be like polishing a stone, or momentum. That means our practice should be constant. We should never stop practicing and we should continue to polish our skills every day just like the making of a Japanese sword or a kadana, which is pounded thousands and thousands of times until you get the perfection of the plate. The next group of characters says kinaigokiju, which translated, means, to a karate practitioner or a martial artist should be strong on the inside and a gentle person on the outside. This is mainly the philosophy of Okinawan karate - be a strong practitioner, but fit spiritually and a gentle person on the outside.
