In this technique we're going to take the assumption that the child has fallen down. Maybe as I grabbed him, he struggled and lost his balance and fallen to the ground. The posture you want to adopt is, both hands up, his head off the ground, one leg bent so he can kick. As I approach, he's going to kick right in my shin, trying to do as much damage as possible, and of course he's yelling the whole time. "Get off me! Leave me alone! Stay away from me!" Good. Now, the advantage of this technique is, kids in Oscar's age are a little old for tantrums. So this is going to be really odd to see a child this age, rolling around on the ground, kicking and screaming and yelling for help. So it's definitely going to get a lot of attention. It's definitely going to make the attacker weary of of the area, wanting to leave, and children this age are big enough to actually cause some pain with their kicking to the shin. So it's important that all this stuff happens; he's yelling, he's keeping his hands up, he's keeping his feet between himself and the bad guy and he's really aggressively attacking the lower body.
