Have Fun When Organizing a Convention

This next clip is on some general advice and wrapping things up in terms of organizing your convention. The best advice I can give anyone having done this for myself is, hope for the best and expect the worst because things are going to go wrong, just don't get flustered when they do. Beyond that, be passionate about putting on your event. Be passionate about your subject matter. Get good support staff whether they're volunteers, whether they're security, but get good support staff and have fun. The biggest problem you have as an organizer is really worrying about what people are thinking. If you're having fun, then they're probably having fun and that's the best advice that you can get. In general, go out there, have a blast, enjoy yourself and hopefully your convention will be as successful as my convention was.
