Lighthouse Nail Art Design: Drawing the Light

For the light on your lighthouse, you're going to want to take out your yellow striping brush. The first thing you're going to want to do is just put a dot of polish onto the flat lid of another bottle. What we're first going to do is take our smallest stylus, dip it into the yellow and then at the top of the small square we just made, we're going to make a little yellow dot. That is going to be our light for our lighthouse. We're going to go ahead and put the light into all ten of our little square boxes and then you are going to wipe off your doter so that it doesn't get gunky. You're going to wipe off the top of the polish lid that you just used. You're going to wipe off the side as well in case any of the polish dripped down. Next, you're going to take your stylus, your yellow striping brush itself, and you're going to make little hash marks out on the side around the light. That's going to make it seem as if the light is emitting a glow. Doesn't need to be a lot, just a little. We're just going to put them at different angles to make it look as if the light is emitting out towards the water or a ship, whatever may be coming in. I'm just putting three little has marks on each side. You can do less, you can do more depending on the size of nail that you have to work with. Re-dip as often as necessary. That is how you make the light and the outward shine from the light at the top of your lighthouse design.
