Oftentimes you're forced to dive in the sport of racquetball. You don't see very many other racquet sports where you have to dive as often as you do in this game. But, if you're going to retrieve or dive to get something, you're going to be on the ground after launching to get a ball. One of the most common mistakes is people just lay here and see if the other person is going to get it. Worse mistake possible. Just assume that your opponent's going to get that next shot, hustle up, and get back in position. Again, never turn around and run this way. If you get hit in the face or anywhere else, no good. Dive or retrieve, get it, and then hustle back this way, look back. Now you're in center court prepared for your next shot. The worse thing possible is to get it and then just stand there and hope that it's all going to work out. Most of the time it doesn't. Assume he's going to come back with a very aggressive shot, you need to be ready, hustle back as soon as you can and get back to center court.
