I’m Lillian with Expert Village and we have completed buffing our nails. We’re free from any ridges, the nails are free from any ridges so now we’re ready to apply the base coat. Here is the point to where if you’re not interested in any nail polish at all, we would apply and I will demonstrate our cuticle cream softener. I will get my orange wood stick and pick up a little bit of cream and this is for excessively dry nails and I will apply it as I did the cuticle softener and just apply it and rub it in to each nail at the base of it and all around. This is just such a nice treat, especially if you have excessively dry fingernails. Now, if you have applied this cuticle cream, its too greasy to apply the base coat so if you’re not going to apply base coat, here is where you would stop and end your manicure. In my case, I want nail coloring so since I’ve put the cuticle cream. I’ll let the cuticle cream sit for about 5 or 10 minutes and then I will with an old toothbrush or any type of a brush with hot soapy water, remove the cream before I start with a base coat.
