Applying a Eyeshadow Base

Before I start the eyes, and really putting color, putting those oranges on, I want to put on a really good base. Putting on a base is very, very important. It keeps your eyeshadow on longer, it makes the eyeshadow pop. It's like writing on a white piece of paper; it just really makes the shadow stand out and just provides a smooth palette for your eyeshadow. So, I'm going to use a base that goes with the oranges. It's in the orange family. It's more of a peachy gold. It's very shear and it has an iridescence to it so it's going to be a really nice highlight to the eye as well as a base. So I'm going to take that with a nice big brush and I'm going to add it all over her eyelid. And you can't really mess this up. This is a shear color. You just want it to go all over the eyelid. Right up under the brow, right down and as far as you can get to the lash line and just add a little at time 'til you get your desired look. And like I said, this is a shear, shear color, so you really can't mess it up. I add a little bit and a little bit more and I'm going to go underneath the eye as well. So, whatever I do on top, I want to do a little bit underneath just so that everything is even and blended. And it's going to put, provide a nice highlight for the underneath the eye as well. Close. And anything that drops or falls, no problem. You could just do a little clean up with a big brush. Swipe that away. I'm going to add a little more. And this is just a great little color to wear on it's own, too. It's just a nice, neutral peachy color. It's going to go fabulous with the orange and the browns. Open. So make sure it's really nice and blended. Blend, blend, blend. And look at the difference, from one eye to the next. It's just, it's really nice and shear and pretty.
