Ukulele Bridge Tips

Last segment of the construction of the Ukulele is the bridge. Now the bridge is this piece down here that attaches to the body of the Ukulele. You'll notice down here, there's another thing that looks like the nut which we saw earlier, this is the bridge. Same concept though. It's usually made of bone or plastic and carries the strings over from the neck to where they would be tied down on the end of the bridge. Now when we see the clip about stringing the guitar we'll see how the strings go through the bridge and get wrapped around on top of the bridge to hold it in to place. The location of the bridge will determine where the center point of the string is so that all of the notes on the fret board are correct and they're in tune. The center point of the string between the nut and between the bridge needs to be right at the twelfth fret.
