Tap Dancing Lessons: Flap Shuffle Hop

Now we're going to talk about the flap shuffle hop. Flap shuffle hop is a combination of two steps the flap and the shuffle. So you're going to start with your right foot; you're going to flap; you're going to lift up the opposite foot; shuffle and hop. And now that that foot's in the air you're going to flap on that foot. Flap, shuffle, hop and continue switching feet. You can use this step to travel or if you like to use it in place instead of stepping forward you'll replace your foot with the opposite foot. Now I'm going to show the flap shuffle hop traveling. When you do the flap shuffle hop fast you want to make sure that your ankles are nice and loose and so are your knees.
