Digital Components: Supplies Needed to Make Stop Motion Animation
Hi! This is Blake Whitaker for Expert Village. Now we are going to go over the first list of supplies which are digital components. Your digital components are one-half of the equation in order to complete your stop motion in movie. Now you need a camera, fire wire, a computer, a monitor and some software. Well you could use any digital camera with a fire wire output. Fire wire output is basically a way to transfer information from your camera to your computer. The fire wire should be 4 pin to 6 pin and the 6 pin goes into the back of your computer and the 4 pin goes into your digital camera. It does not matter if you have a digital video camera or a digital still camera. When considering your camera, make sure your digital camera has a fire wire out. When buying your camera if you don't have one already, consider the quality of your camera because that will affect your picture. The higher quality your camera is, the higher quality your picture is going to be. We need a computer for our capture device. If you use a Mac or PC as long as it is a fire wire card with the 6 pin input. Now you need also to get software for your computer and for our purposes today, we are using a Stop Motion Pro. If you have a Mac, you can use high Stop Motion Pro and there is a lot of other software as well that you could find as long as you have something that can capture the pictures and organize them for you.
