Hey Bobby Larew talking about diving, I love diving. How do we get into the Pike for our back dive Pike alright? So far we've talked about how to take off the board, now we got to talk about how to actually get into the Pike. We're in this position right? We're stretching, we're leaving the board. From here, we really do nothing with the upper body ok? The upper body is going to stay in this position. Our hands are continuing to stretch up ok? But it's our lower body that really makes the difference in the Pike. One of the mistakes that most the divers make, including myself, is they like to reach for the Pike. The secret to a good Pike is using your leg muscles and bringing the legs and feet up to you instead of you going down to the feet. Ok I'm going to get down on the ground and show you this. If I've just come off the board ok? This is what it would look like to do a proper Pike, my arms are extended, my head is up. I'm going to lift my feet k? That's what a good Pike looks like let me show you one more time and that's it.
