Using the Clutch for a Dead Battery Manual Start
Hello! This is Rob with Expert Village. One of the advantages of having a manual transmission car is that if the battery is dead, your children leave the door opened, headlights on, radio planning and you get in it and it won’t start, you can get the car going without a battery and I am going to demonstrate. It is very important that you have the key in almost at the starting position; that is right before the starter is going to be engaged. Put the car in second gear, take off the emergency brake and let the car roll. Once it starts rolling, it’s as simple as that. That is one of the advantages of having a manual transmission car.
