Nice Video on getting moving but alot of people do not realize that when getting the car moving you have to bring up the clutch to the catch point then add a little gas, but they should be holding the clutch at the catch point for a split second or so

Getting Moving: Learn How to Drive a Stick Shift: Manual Transmission Lessons

Hello! This is Rob with Expert Village. Our next lesson is getting moving. First off seatbelts; second push the clutch in, make sure you are in first gear, right foot on the gas and you are ready to go. You get your feel of where the clutch is going to engage so you slowly let your foot up without touching the gas until you feel the car start to move, and then you push it back in. Once you get comfortable with movement where the clutch is coming up and you are ready to go. The least amount of gas that you can give without stalling is better for the clutch and it will save you down the road. The one thing you don’t want to do is look at your feet; that takes your eyes off the road and that can cause an accident and now we can start moving. Release the clutch pedal, the car cross starts to move you give it a little gas and off we go.
