Example of a Great Layout Design of a Non-Fiction Book

I’m Bobbi Linkemer on behalf of expertvillage.com, and I’d like to invite you to visit my website at writeanonfictionbook.com. This is a biography of Louis Spearing who designed the Sheldon Concert Hall, which has perfect acoustics. The book was written by Carol Porter, who is a local author; published by Virginia Press, and it is absolutely beautiful. The cover is very attractive; the photographs are perfectly reproduced, so the printing is fabulous. Look at the design on these pages. This is not your typical blocks of type; it’s very well designed. The photographs are crisp. She didn’t pay for any of this because it was conventionally published. She did a lot of work selling it. One of the things that many authors do is have a good picture taken for the back of the book, and she did that. This is an example of what it can look like when you have a good publisher who does all the work for you.
