Conducting Orchestra in 4/4 Time

Now we're finally getting to the conducting patterns. The first one I want to demonstrate is 4/4. Remember, that's four beats per measure and the quarter note gets the beat. So remember our invisible plain we bring our conducting baton up to our invisible plain and we do not punch through it. So the first beat, one, is right here to my right side. The next beat, two, is right here on the plain to the left side. The next beat, three, is over here on my right side. The next beat four, is right in the middle and remember I'll have up beats between each ictus. So it would be one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Try it with me, one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Remember to keep the plain constant don't punch through the plain.
