This segment is about color, color in diamonds. Not all diamonds are white. This is a white diamonds. White ranges from light yellow to medium yellow to dark yellow and those are the ranges that are very very common because that is what most of them occur in. When you talk about fancy colors you can get off into pink stones such as this heart shape or you can get into canaries like this princess cut on the end and in some rare cases you can have blue diamonds. There are also purple diamonds. Different colors o diamonds have been found in different points in the world and at different times. It is just through discovery. It is very difficult to find colored stones as opposed to finding white stones. White of course is the most common but here lately colored stones have gained in their popularity and that also drives the price of colored stones up and anyone with a colored stone at this time should take advantage of those price increases with today's current market. The different colors in diamonds are usually associated with elements that are within proximity of them during their crystallization form. You may have some iron that is close to a crystal when it is formed. You may have some copper element close to a diamond when it is formed and this is what gives you true natural color in a diamond. The heat generated in a diamond usually dries off color and that is why you have so many white ones. But in cases that is staying with the diamond that is because it finished its crystallization on its move upward through the Earth.
