Man As the Lead in Tango Dancing
On behalf of Expert Village I'm Kelly Anne and I'm here with my partner. My name is Steeve Jean Louis. And we will be demonstrating tango dancing. In ballroom dancing and Latin dancing the gentlemen is the choreographer and the leader. The lady is the follower. So it is up to him to decide how to phrase the patterns whether if he want to loop all three continuously or do two, two and two. For example two basic, two corte, two promenade, two basic, two corte, two promenade or one, one, one or mix them up a little bit and keep interesting and spontaneous. Dancing is a body language. When you dance with your partner it is going happen in the beginning used in dance partner you mess a step, you tell your partner, to go left, right. But, when you master it you know exactly what you are doing it is all about lead. What I'm saying by lead its you are going to use either your arm, your head, or your foot, your hips to lead your partner. For example if I'm doing the basic step slow, slow, quick,quick, slow I'm going to do promenade I'm going to use my arms and my hip to lead my partner. My hip turn my hip and my arm like this, my right arm to lead my partner and so on. Everything you are doing with your partner is all about lead and fun.
