Editing E-Mails

Now the next thing that we need to do, no matter how hard it is, I've been talking about how email is for quick responses, it's about quickness it's about fast communication, well you're going to have to slow down just a minute. It is essential that before you hit that send button that you edit your email. When I talk about this I'm talking about first of all look at the content of what you've written, are you sending the message that you want to send? Are you sending too much information, have you gone on and on? Maybe you want to reduce some of that information, but has the point been made. Then of course you also want to consider editing in the sense of spell check, grammar, punctuation. Even though email is a casual form of business writing, it is still business writing so you still want to make sure that your emails the spelling is correct, the grammar is correct, the punctuation is correct. So edit everything before you hit that send button.
