Jhala Technique for the Sitar
Jhala is the technique and the part of the performance that concludes a performance. It reaches the climax in speed and excitement and what it is you play the playing string the Baj and the Chikaris in different rhythmic patterns. So you get these really nice intricate rhythmic patterns and there is a lot of interplay with Tabla. So the way we speak about this is Dah Chik. So playing the Chikari the technique of playing the Chikari in Jhala is referred to as Chik and Dah is just the stroke the same Dah stroke which I demonstrated and you can do something as simple as this which is a good way to begin.
