Choosing Attire for Afro-Cuban Dancing

On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Alex Ruiz from Miami Beach, Florida with Salsa Mia dance studio, and today we’re going to teach you Afro-Cuban music. Now, let’s talk about what you wear anytime you see anyone dancing any type of drums or African drums. The big majority of the people always use something loose, very light. It’s usually going to be light color. The reason why you wear a while colors is because a lot of people in Africa, South-central America, the Caribbean, they also use is a Santeria. Santeria is pretty much some type of witchcraft, but this one’s a good one. That’s why people dress in white. A lot of people believe by dressing in white they also bring good spirits. Women usually dress the same color as the men or they’ll wear a long skirt. So any time they move you can see more movements in their hips.
