Age Appropriate Suit: Professional Wardrobe for Women

Hi my name is Jamie Yasko-Mangum and with Successful Style and Image today on Expert Village we are going to talk about age appropriate business suits for women. Now you are probably thinking is there such thing as age appropriate business suits for women or is all business suits alike? No they are not and it is good to pay attention to the age appropriate of a suit. If you are just graduating from college to a season professional you need to pay attention to your age and the type of suit that you get. For instance if you are graduating from college I would not go look in the junior department for a suit. The reason is those suits in the junior department are meant 8 out of 10 times are not made lined. When you are looking for a business suit business suits are always lined not only the jacket but also the skirt it is lined. That is very appropriate that is age appropriate piece that you need when your are wearing a suit the lining. Secondly age appropriate suits are ones with color and designs that are not to young. For instance bubble gum colors I'm talking about neon, radical designs, those are not office appropriate for age appropriate. Also the hem line this is not office appropriate that is not at all. Three inches above office appropriate. No matter what age that you are. If you where to wear really short skirts wait to you go out in the evening to do that but not at the office. When you are wearing tops if you have a top that is a little bit to low what you want to do is put a camey underneath it. So that brings that up so you don't see the cleavage. Cleavage is not something that we need to be showing at work. You need to make sure age appropriate that it is cover. So remember that I'm not saying that you need to wear mock necks and turtle necks all the time. You can wear beautiful V necks and you can wear camey that are little bit lower. You just don't want to show everything that is there. Again age appropriate you don't want them to tight it is another age appropriate. So when you are picking out a type of suit for you look at stores that have a suit department and also you got to check is the fabric you want to check the length, you want to check the blouse that you buy is age appropriate the fit.
