Photoshop Custom Shapes Tutorial

Adobe Photoshop is a registered trademark of Adobe Systems Incorporated, and I am in no way affiliated with Adobe. Hi guys, on this Photoshop tutorial, I'm going to show you how to use the custom shape tool. Now the custom shape tool is over here on on your dialog box, and usually you're going to see a rectangle there, so you're not going to know that it's there unless you click and hold, and then you can see all of a sudden a custom shapes tool right there, and if you want, I can zoom in for you--custom shapes tool--and as you can see the shortcut to that is "U". Now what you want to do with this, is you want to come up here, to where you can see the shapes, and click, and you have millions of shapes to choose from--well not millions, but you got a lot. If you want to click the little arrow key because your computer doesn't look like mine at the moment, you can actually hit the word all, and you will get all of these in one big box. Now the cool thing about this, is these are all free and they are--they come with Photoshop. So, say for instance you want to copyright your image, so you click the copyright shape, and you just click and drag, and now you've made yourself a huge copyright. Drop the opacity--and more than likely, it's going to look like this in the beginning, because the opacity is going to be at a hundred percent. But if you drop that opacity down to like, say for instance, twenty percent, and then you click on your background, you'll see that there's a big copyright image on this picture. Which is pretty cool, because you know, sometimes people like to steal images. So, get rid of that. Another thing you can do with the custom shape tool is make, like a logo. Say for instance we want to do like landscaping company, or lawn company. You could click like this grass, or pet company you can click a dog or--we'll make a quick logo; keep clicking the grass right there, and just drag along the edge right there as I have, and you can color it whatever color you want by going up here and setting the color for it. So we'll pick like a greenish color for this, like a dark green. And as you can see, my opacity is set way down eight--eighteen somewhere; bring it up to thirty--ah, forty-four. You click on your text--you can click on your text and drag, and we'll call our company--and make sure it's big enough; yeah, this is perfect size--we'll call our company... we'll call it "Call On Me". We've got a--you know, ourselves a little custom logo here, just by adding a little background that looks kind of neat, just like that. And it's very sweet and effective, as you can see, the little custom shape tools. So that is it for the custom shape tools guys. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
