After you cut out your napkin you want to lay the base down on it and just fold it up and see how it's going to be working out. Where it's going to be overlapping and if that looks good or if you want to trim it down some more. You have to really consider what the design of your napkin is and there's always going to be a little bit of an overlap. So you don't want to have the overlap coming in a place that doesn't look nice. You probably want to keep your overlap really close to the edge. So after you do that you just want to take and trim any areas that may be coming up too far or overlapping too much. And when you've finished with your trimming and planning then you want to separate the backing from the napkin. This napkin has a three ply. You want to make sure that you get all of the extra backings off. Sometimes if it is a three ply the one will stick very close to the napkin and doesn't come off easy so you want to double check and make sure that you get all of this backing off. And you're left with a very thin printed side of the designer napkin. Okay now for the front of the hand mirror we're going to cut a piece only from here, just the handle part. Because the round portion will be covered by a mirror and we will be covering also with some nice trim so you don't need to decoupage this part of the front mirror. So then you can look also at your design elements here and decide what you want to put along the handle. Which parts of the napkin will look prettiest on the handle. And again, you want to just, you can move the napkin around and see what looks nicest and then flip it over and trace around and cut it with a quarter inch or less all the way around.
