Tap Dancing Basics: Waltz Clog Time Step

Hi, I'm Emily Larew, finishing up our tap basics with a waltz clog time step. So, this is our first one, so get excited. We're going to start with our right foot, and you're going to start with a step. The waltz clog time step broken down is step, shuffle, ball change. All right. So we have our right foot, we're going to step to the right, and you have to the right, with the left, shuffle, ball change. All right. Then I want you to transfer your weight, you're going to go to the left corner, and you're going to swivel over, step, shuffle, ball change. Right. Step, shuffle, ball change. Left, step, shuffle, ball change. That's it for a waltz clog time step, but when you're doing it just make sure that each step is going towards the direction that you're stepping in. All right. You don't want it to go anywhere else but the direction that you're stepping in. So let's do a few. Are you ready? A little bit faster. Five, six, seven, and step, shuffle, ball change, step, shuffle, ball change, step, shuffle, ball change, step, shuffle, ball change. So again, just keep your heels up off the floor. Try not to scrape. Make sure that you're using the full ball of your root, and not any other scraping motions as you're doing your waltz clog time step.
