Hi! My name is Jamie Yasko-Mangum and I’m with Successful Style and Image. Today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about socks that you wear with a men’s suit. When you’re choosing your shoes and socks for the day, socks are very important because number one what you don’t want your socks to do is ride down on you. So first let’s talk about the fabrics of socks, when you’re looking at the fabrics of socks you want a nylon, cotton or rayon blend. Number one that it’s not a thick sock that it is a thin sock because when you’re putting it in your wingtip or loafer shoe it’s going to place your foot in there very nicely also it won’t bunch up at your cuff, where your shoe and your pant fit. It’s going to look very nice, it’s going to be thin so when you’re looking at fabric when you’re buying your socks make sure that it has a nylon and a cotton or rayon blend. Also make sure with socks they’re the same color as your suit color pants, you don’t want a different color you want to make sure the socks match the suit color pants. If you’re going to put a pattern in your sock make sure that it’s a small pattern, you don’t want a big bold pattern to take away from the suit. Remember the socks aren’t the focal point of your whole suit outfit so when you’re buying socks fabric, pattern small. Thank you.
